Chris Abney
Abney Genealogy
Chris Abney is a well rounded sort of fellow. - A regular renaissance man!
He is a father, husband, professional programmer, real good foosball player, rather handsome fellow and a good person to know.
If I haven't bored you enough with the usual self-aggrandizing personal website stuff so far... have a look around.
My web site is still rather small as I am in the process of re-writing it. Since this is not my primary area of IT expertise, it may take a while. So far it is basically hand written html.
There will be no flashy graphics included here. My personal preference is not to have any modern, heavy weight, obtuse web technology dependencies in a web site. That kind of thing is fine inside a company (intranet) where administrators install the right software for the pages to properly render. However, it is one of my biggest pet peeves to have to use a web site that is slow or doesn't work because of the technology used. The authors seem to discount the value of users who don't have the latest hardware and software.
